Directed by accordion player Enzo Conti, Tre Martelli (translated: Three Hammerings) continue to explore the turn-of-the-century music and dance traditions of their homeland. A blend of folk and classical music, the band's sound has been called by FolkRoots "truly a joy to listen to." While their songs tell of history and romance, their dancing spans a wide range of styles, including branco, monferrina, curenta, and bura. Four members of Tre Martelli -- Ciacio Marchelli, Lorenzo Boioli, Simone Boglioli, and Rinaldo Doro -- have also recorded under the name Tsarriye. ~ Craig Harris, Rovi
