The Godfathers Of Italogaze.
Active since the early 90s, traced the guidelines of a movement with their unique mix of Darkwave, Shoegaze and Dreampop.
The band is started in Autumn 1993 by cousins Nino and Francesco Candia, with the aim to make indie music; Antonio Minucci and Paolo D’Addio soon join the project, and after a few months the line-up is permanently completed with Davide Fusco. The band is quite active on stage and is invited by the label Energeia to sign the band for the production of 2 albums: the first CD, TREES (1997), whose sound features ethereal atmospheres typical of the style referred to as darkwave, while the following one HARMONIZER (1999) features a more shoegaze sound.
A long period of recording sessions at the Seahorse studios in Naples results in the production of their third CD, ASH. The album is released by Ark Records in a box entitled “Walking Trees”, which includes also the first two albums to form a sort of trilogy. The band performs one last show in May 2005, and then decides to take a long time of leave.
The band’s reunion happens in November 2017 with a live performance at the Cellar Theory in Naples. New studio sessions in Cilento lead to the release of their fourth album, EPILOGUE, produced by Vipchoyo Sound Factory in March, following an intense live activity, which finds its ideal seal in the release of SERENADES FOR PASSING STRANGERS - LIVE IN ROME, their first official live cd & dvd.
