Helena, Montana’s own Trenton Wright doesn’t write songs to fit into a neat box—he writes to survive the mood of the room. A multi-instrumentalist swapping seamlessly between piano and guitar, his sound lives at the crossroads of rugged Americana and modern, soul-drenched pop. It’s a style that bridges the heavy, diary-honest storytelling of Noah Kahan with the gritty, deep-south warmth of Teddy Swims and Leon Bridges.
Rather than relying on polished formulas, Trenton’s creative compass is entirely immediate, capturing whatever raw emotion strikes him in a single hour or minute. This unfiltered authenticity propelled him onto the national stage, landing him as a standout Top 40 finalist on Season 23 of American Idol. Now, he’s turning that national momentum into a grassroots movement. Trenton is set to drop his highly anticipated debut single, "Empty Red Cups," on September 18, paving the way for his upcoming debut EP.
