Since I was 12 years old, the only thing I ever wanted to be was a recording artist. However, life came and derailed that dream for a long time. However, after being injured in Iraq in 2016 and after a lot of soul-searching, I remembered music was the place that always brought me happiness. Even with my recent amputation at the end of August 2024, my love for recording has never been greater.
Music allows us to connect with people on a deeper level. If my music connects with only one person, but it makes a difference for that one person it connects with, then to me that’s better than winning any award or signing any record deal. Because music is about the connection that we have with our fans. It’s not about how much money we get paid or how many records we sell , it’s about the connection we have with our fans. Because without them there would be no us.
