Trio HLK

<a href="spotify:artist:07PCosYxHKZTbA5H2opRdD" data-name="Trio HLK">Trio HLK</a> (Richard Harrold, <a href="spotify:artist:6kdsDfFQZGJBwb9IvjnIL0" data-name="Ant Law">Ant Law</a> , Rich Kass) have completed their second album: ‘Anthropometricks’. Their relationship with Dame <a href="spotify:artist:6MYiQGy8MIcBps6Ez0IQA8" data-name="Evelyn Glennie">Evelyn Glennie</a> has been captured in five of the eight compositions, and two additional guest artists are featured: British Cellist <a href="spotify:artist:7dJlNzFSbpBe7vHjDFiXwk" data-name="Natalie Clein">Natalie Clein</a> and Indian Vocalist <a href="spotify:artist:59GUnH7f4NlLkxSxtNNt0i" data-name="Varijashree Venugopal">Varijashree Venugopal</a>.

Since their first meeting on New Year’s Day in 2015, H, L and K have worked tirelessly on the distillation of ingredients making up their music. They often disassemble jazz standards, building new pieces from the motifs contained within them. Two or more themes can be set in motion simultaneously, creating kaleidoscopic and shape-shifting sounds.

In 2018 they released &#39;Standard Time&#39; and began their partnership with Evelyn, followed by extensive touring across Europe and the UK. Gramophone Magazine have singled out the Trio as ‘True Innovators’ whilst their debut live performance was described by Jazzwise as “an extraordinary performance in a class all of its own”.
