Biology shows that life is made up of complex and delicate webs. It is made of parts that come together, combine and maintain themselves. Tripa Seca's music, which is full of life, is exactly like that, a tangle of knots, all of them affective. Formed by Marcelo Callado, Renato Martins, André Paixão (Nervoso) and Melvin Ribeiro - well-known and respected names in the independent scene in Rio, with crossed paths in bands and artists such as Acabou La Tequila, Lafayette & Os Tremendões, Caetano Veloso and Nina Becker - the group naturally reflects these interactions and genetic combinations. And yet, in its evolution through the ten tracks of its eponymous debut album, Tripa Seca manages to sound, at the same time, familiar and singular. It manages to sound unique, like a new loop of this whole reel.
