Imagine you took Jersey Club and covered it in candy paint, smacked it on its ass, and told it to break something. Trippy Turtle is a mystery man taking your favorite hip-hop songs and turning them into fired-up, swirly versions of themselves. He's a rare sight, who started as a drummer in a Norwegian pond when he was a hatchling.
The genre was born in Baltimore, cultivated in NJ cities like Newark, and now has reached the EDM scene en masse. 4 years ago, Trippy Turtle emerged as an anonymous artist, displaying a pixelated turtle on each of his release covers.
It’s was almost 4 years before we'd gotten an original tune from the turtle, who's only original track “Trippy’s Theme” was release on Diplo’s Mad Decent back in 2014. Since then he’s kept the turtle alive dropping bootleg remixes “turtle style” (unannounced on Soundcloud) August 2017, The Trippy EP was release on his own label, Fofofadi Records with features from Soulja Boy and Lil B.
Today, he is arguably the most watched Jersey Club producers - having headlined this years EDC Las Vegas on the mainstage at sunrise!
