At only a year old, TROIKA has made a splash in the national music scene after winning the NashNext 2018 Nashville finals run by Nash FM and Big Machine Label Group. With the help of producer Bryant Lowry, the trio embodies Alt-Country and EDM cross genres. TROIKA’s fresh new sound is now on everyone’s radar, leading to countless opportunities such as opening for Maddie & Tae, playing Nissan Stadium, participating in Nashville’s prestigious writers round Bus Call, and more. Vocal virtuoso Tawna Goforth, violinist Lucy Davis Hull, and guitarist Brandon Adams have collided from vastly different backgrounds to become “three in unison,” hence: “TROIKA.”
Goforth’s music career launched in 2014 when she was featured on HGTV’s House Hunters, singing and performing original songs. She received placement in CMT’s hit series Nashville, and has acted in music videos for stars such as Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw, and Kid Rock.
Hull, originally from NJ, began playing classical viola at age 6. She has studied with renowned teachers from the Juilliard and Cincinnati Conservatories, and shared the stage with the acclaimed artists Sarah Chang and Joshua Bell.
Adams, hailing from NC, has dedicated his life to classical studies as well. Attending Belmont University, Adams worked on both commercial and academic projects across all genres.
Says Hull, “We all sing lead, we all harmonize, we all play. We’re one sound. We want people to hear us on the radio and say, “Oh, that’s TROIKA.”
