You’re invited to Tropic Harbour, a utopian space constructed by Mark Berg for peace of mind. This headspace has become the moniker for Berg’s hazy dream pop creations contrived from nostalgic images and dreams of the coast. A musical outlet created out of necessity for Berg to mentally escape into a world of sonic landscapes.
Since the release of his debut album, Tropic Harbour has played alongside notable acts such as DIIV, Jessy Lanza and Homeshake. Although the project is Berg’s own dream pop vision, the live set is approached as a collaborative - favouring hired bandmates over pre-recorded tracks. This counterbalance lends itself to organic textures becoming the forefront of Berg’s productions. While a distinct blissed out sound is at the core of Tropic Harbour, it is ultimately a canvas in which Berg can explore his ever evolving tastes.
