TROY is a Belgian rapper, producer, and trumpet player home in the realms of soulful and jazzy hip hop with conscious lyrics as a guiding thread.

As the child of artists like Joey Bada$$, Malz Monday, etc. TROY learned to convey his message through flows and beats inspired by the “New School Boom Bap” generation. Influenced by innovators such as Tyler, The Creator, Childish Gambino, and Saba, he pushes the boundaries of hip hop without letting go of its essence.

TROY aims to broaden the meaning of the genre in Belgium and beyond. His productions blend live trumpet, jazzy chords, and soulful rhythms with contemporary hip hop structures. He also draws inspiration from the Belgian group Blackwave., an influence that subtly surfaces in atmosphere, texture, and emotional depth.

In 2026, this artistic journey becomes tangible with the release of his debut EP, in which TROY further unfolds his musical universe. A universe that already led him to win De Nieuwe Lichting 2026 organized by Studio Brussel and the Audience Award at Sound Track (Flemish Brabant) 2025 at Het Depot in Leuven.

Alongside his solo work, TROY is also part of the live concept TROY x Koné. Within this project, original tracks are built layer by layer and performed live using a looping station. Every element—from keys to trumpet, sax, handpan, and vocals—emerges in the moment, resulting in an organic and immersive live experience, with tracks such as Calima as the outcome.
