Tru West

Tru West is an emerging artist from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Her sound is inspired by the 90’s and early 00’s r&b, hip hop and indie rock. The nostalgia is felt as her soulful voice serenades listeners through a mixture of trapsoul and contemporary r&b instrumentation.

Her undeniable talents and versatility has led her to artist activism and working with local organizations, where she executively produced her hip hop mixtape “From the Ashes, We Rise” that featured local artists.

As she continues to embrace her depth and vulnerability, Tru West explores her sound with pop, spatial, and alternative r&b notes in her debut album “Tru Feels” released in August of 2023.
