True Akayak

True Akayak is born in 2018 with it´s first single <a href="spotify:album:5KumvXkglgO7WMlquDMxwe" data-name="Favorite Love">Favorite Love</a>. With various influences from folk/pop to alternative/indie sounds, the new E.P. <a href="spotify:album:5movbLoVqS1B7DfY5KISgt" data-name="93">93</a> comes out on April 2020.

The group started as a cover band with Héctor Balderas (Singer,guitar) and his girlfriend Ana Paula. Later on 2018 they decided to start to write original songs. 93 E.P. was written and produced by Héctor Balderas with the collaboration on music and lyrics of Ana Paula ( &quot;Favorite Love&quot; and &quot;<a href="spotify:track:2qsHKLQIWth79hl9lhAcIH" data-name="Shell Out">Shell Out</a>&quot;). The recording of the E.P. took place at a studio called Agape Studio, in his hometown Tampico. Knowing Daniel Hernandez (audio engineer) several years back with different music projects, Héctor decided to record the next 5 tracks for the E.P. with him. At that time the band was formed to play live shows. Later that year they got to record a live session in RG Studios, videos can be found on youtube channel as &quot;True Akayak Live at RG&quot;.

True Akayak is a life project. 93 E.P. is the beginning of it. An extended play of 6 tracks full of energy, sounds and lyrics with different stories. True Akayak wants you to be part of its story.
