True Vibe, composed of members Jonathan Lippmann, Nathan Gaddis, Jason Barton, and Jordan Roe, was born out of Lippmann's desire to pursue musical excellence without watering down his Christian faith.

A founding member of the pop group 98 Degrees, Lippmann decided to leave the band just as they were signing a recording contract. While the decision was due in part to previously made acting commitments, Lippmann also wanted to place a greater emphasis and focus on his relationship with God.

The singer and actor, who has appeared in the television series Sweet Valley High and in Burger King commercials, moved to Nashville, TN, where his vision for the group True Vibe became a reality. The foursome performed at venues including a New York Knicks game, Late Night With David Letterman, and the Arena Bowl in Orlando, FL.

After much media attention, the group signed with Essential Records and released their debut album in May 2001. Several TV appearances helped spread their name, but they went back to the studio and released See the Light the following year to try and capitalize on their mainstream media attention. ~ Ashleigh Kittle, Rovi
