Hailing from the infamous Atjazz Record Company, TrueSelf has worked with the label over the years to establish himself firmly within the industry.
At seventeen he was introduced to electronic music and his favourite labels soon became Warp Records, Tru Thoughts, Ninja Tunes and Mo’Wax Records. It was at this point he took up DJing and producing in his spare time.
Over the years TrueSelf has ran and played at nights with many of the industry’s biggest names, at venues such as Back to Basics at Stinky's Peephouse, Stealth, The Rainbow, The Custard Factory, Ministry of Sound, Mint Club, MixMag Tour Party and internationally.
Although he has an eternal passion for House music, he never constrains himself whilst producing. He is always honing in on what inspires him most in the studio; a mixture of electronic and organic sounds. Whether it be recording soulful guitar licks or old analogue synths, he aims to portray emotion and soul.
