Trufflemusik is a classical duo comprised of Elizabeth Myers (Piano) and Paul Hochhalter (Cello). Myers and Hochhalter are veteran studio musicians based in Los Angeles who instantly connected when they discovered they were both serious Johannes Brahms fanatics.
Their debut EP, “A Sweet of Beethoven,” reimagines legendary piano masterpieces by intertwining Myers' intricate piano with Hochhalter's rich cello . Composer Nan Schwartz offers critical acclaim to the duo’s debut: “These renditions are very beautiful. Liz and Paula play with such soul.” Trufflemusik followed up on their success with their first album release in June 2020, “A Sweet of Brahms,” which pays homage to their mutual hero.
Today, the duo reconnects annually to celebrate the magic of the holidays by covering beloved classics. “A Southern Christmas,” releasing on December 12th, will feature Christmas favorites accompanied by incredible vocalists, including the Temptation’s Louis Price. It’s perfect for cozying up during a chilly winter.
