TRY ACROBATICS keeps busy with just three things: creating, recording and performing catchy songs with a raw edge. With bands like Hot Chip, Das Pop, Hot Hot Heat and Friendly Fires as sources of inspiration, the band is constantly tinkering with new songs from it’s hometown Amsterdam.
TRY ACROBATICS got off to a head start with the EP 'A Celebration Of Some Kind', singles 'Replica' and ‘Shout (Out Loud), produced by Remko Schouten (eg. Voicst, Pien Feith, Pavement). And the band played many shows, including gigs at the traveling ‘Popronde Festival’ (41 Dutch major cities participating). The band continued its course by winning the Audience Award during the prestigious ‘Dutch Music Grand Prix’. During the final in the famous Milky Way (Melkweg) venue in Amsterdam, the band received a monster score: 29% of the audience vote. As icing on the cake TRY ACROBATICS was selected for ‘DNA On Tour’ (Dutch New Artists), the international talent program of the Herman Brood Music Academy. This included an extensive tour through major cities in Germany.
In 2017 the band released their follow-up EP 'Late Night Obsessions' in collaboration with producer JJJ Sielcken.
