Tsunnami

Icelandic Tsunnami is here to drag you into her frothy, poetic universe of pop music written in her second
language, Danish. Behind the alter ego, Tsunnami, is Sunna Guðlaugsdóttir, whose reality was turned
upside down in 2020. A tidal wave hit, followed by: A break. A change. The discovery of a new identity.
With her love for language and words, Tsunnami takes you on a journey through a tangled landscape
of both doubt and self-confidence, leading you to a place where vulnerability and courage go hand in
hand. The cleanup and reconstruction after the tidal wave has left Tsunnami ready to share her story
and experiences through her music that expresses both power and vulnerability.

“Dis” is the first single from the debut EP “Efterår' which is a part of the bigger conceptual, artistic
piece “Et års tid” - an EP-quartet by Tsunnami. The four EP’s are named after the four seasons
and reflect the moods of each season and will be released in the respective seasons from autumn '22-summer '23. The mix of the innovative production and the solid songwriting with roots in the singer/songwriter tradition, creates a unique soundscape heavily influenced by Icelandic nature where extreme beauty and extreme harness coexist.
