Tumbacasas

Tumbacasas is the result of 6 years of collaboration between two producers from Mexico City. Exploring sound for video and producing projects like Monocrom, San Jorge & Noble Savage, ideas that had a common personality came up and only needed a name to exist together.

Tumbacasas’ music is narrative, profound and ideal for getting lost in it’s contagious beats, jumpy basslines, strident timbres and iconic melodies. Taking from cinematic language and influences like The Chemical Brothers, Simian Mobile Disco, Four Tet, Todd Terje & Modeselektor, their music isn’t limited to repetitive loops; it evolves constantly throughout every track. Tumbacasas aren’t DJ’s, they make songs.

Live, they perform a hybrid setup with digital machines, analog synthesizers & drum machines, capturing the uninterrupted essence of DJ sets and placing it in a band format. The show is accompanied with visuals and lights synchronized to the music, making the experience engaging from start to finish.

2021 is the year of release of their debut EP and Adelante, its first single, will see the light on February the 26th, accompanied by a short film.
