This isn’t actually a band, but a Norwegian solo artist who graces dark canvasses between alternative pop and fluorescent shoegaze sketches.
In seven years, Tuvaband’s Tuva Hellum Marschhäuser has released four critically-acclaimed albums, two EPs, one collaborative project with supergroup New Age Doom, and a remix by Lee «Scratch» Perry. Along the way, Tuvaband has earned two Norwegian Grammy nominations, including one for her previous album.
Tuvaband is set to release her fifth solo album, Seven Ways of Floating, in October 2025. On her new album, Tuva has written all of the songs; played all of the instruments except viola; and she has produced, recorded and mixed the tracks. She also releases Tuvaband’s music on her own label, Passions Flames.
