"Tweed Retreat are a modern indie band in the best sense of the term. Compelling melodies are matched to intelligently crafted lyrics to create songs that wouldn't be out of place on an '80's Elvis Costello collection or the next Killers album. There's a "more than meets the eye" (or shall we say "ear") quality to the music, a sense that this is a band capable of producing something inventive on any turnaround. It's a band comprised of four supremely creative musicians that still somehow adds up to a sum that is greater than the sounds of its parts.
