Canadian hard rock/metal band Twelve Years Today was formed in 2018 by guitarist/drummer Jason Petrolia and singer/lyricist James Burnett. After years of working in other projects, and sometimes performing on the same stage, a chance reconnection through mutual friends led to the two collaborating on 2019’s Stronger When You Fight EP. After realizing the chemistry the two had, they continued writing and delivered the Humanity EP in early 2020. The duo released a cover of Three Days Grace’s Home in late 2020, followed by the single Debt Of Sin. This led to their third EP, In Times Of Madness, on January 29, 2021. ITOM was named one of the Top 10 Albums of 2021 Q1 by The Heavy Rock Show on East London Radio in the UK, and Debt Of Sin hit Number 1 on KB Radio in London, ON Canada. April 2021 saw the band featured in Issue 4 of Emerging Rock Bands Magazine, as well as the release of a new single, Unveiled. After a relatively quiet summer, TYT released Blood From Our Eyes on September 17, 2021 followed by A Fool’s Paradise on October 23, 2021. The music stays true to their signature sound, while adding a darker vibe than previous releases. By the end of 2021, TYT was nominated for Best Hard Rock Act 2021 by Radio Wigwam in the UK. 2022 began with the release of the fourth EP, Escape The Grey, featuring the remastered, previously released single Unveiled, as well as three brand new songs.
