Twelve

Lost and found; the rediscovery of forgotten musical treasures. The power of music nostalgia is undeniable. We can be transported back to a different place and time, sparking memories of melodies we cherished, cried, and danced to. At the same time, reminiscing about something doesn’t mean we can’t keep exploring. Re-invention can wipe the dust from rusted relics, and new perspectives can give a shiny new sparkle to them.

This is the sentiment at the heart of ‘TWELVE’ - a music and art project dedicated to the rediscovery and revival of timeless yet forgotten musical treasures of the past.

The project features twelve singles released via Milkshake – a subdivision of Sony Music Sweden. Each unique single, released under the artist name ‘TWELVE’, has had a range of producers and vocalists who have been commissioned to rework timeless classics into an electronic, modern soundscape. Upon the final release, all twelve singles bind together into one collection named ‘DOUZE.’

Furthermore, the visual artworks from the collection have been created by a diverse set of 3D artists from all over the globe. Every piece illustrates a hidden place based on the mood of the song– all freely interpreted by each unique artist. The artists include Visual Citizen, Moteh, Double Up Studio, Joe Mortell, Jenny Jiang, Daniel Medina, Yonson, Alice Wexell, Alba De La Fuente, Yomagick & Gaudism.
