Twenty Mule Team is a "SUPERGROUP!" While not a "SUPERGROUP" in the sense that they were formed from the disparate but famous and highly talented members of other, more interesting bands, but rather a "SUPERGROUP" in the sense that each of them is one-fourth of the ingredients to make the perfect salad. Lettuce branches out through the songs through Matt Hanks' conical drum style. Tomatoes bring a deep and soulful burst of bass guitar through Alex Dye's tremulous finger shakings. Cucumbers spritz up the joint with fresh lead guitar slices flung about by Steven Smith. Ranch dressing drips thick and perky across the upper layer through John Cory's rhythm guitar and is sprinkled upon by savory crunches of John Cory's baconey-bit throat meat gyrations. Vitamin and mineral rich, Twenty Mule Team dances gaily on the balancing line of punk and progressive, emo and logi, pop and unpop. Songs unfurl from their fanny pack of slam jams, while what's left of the members of Twenty Mule Teams' failed Cult of the Golden Elephant Calf delve in the dungeons of the Ghost Yurts of Melchronium. Put your pants back on and prepare yourself for a musical shellacking, the likes of which you'll never see outside of a maximum security public library.
