20HERTZ is a straight edge band. Their militant lyrics were a deliberate move, as they were sick of seeing bands with positive messages, like Youth of Today, get criticized for being too militant. So, they decided to give their detractors what they wanted: the most militant straight edge band imaginable. All the members of 20HERTZ (who later admitted that provocation was a key goal for the band) had this intent.
Beyond its powerful message, 20HZ's music features riffs heavily influenced by metal while staying true to its hardcore roots.
With a new lineup of Syahansyah (lead guitar), Yuki (rhythm guitar), Vavian (drums), Radit (bass), and Tristan and Rhadin (vocals), the band continued to record their first song, "Forbidden Nightmare," at Alinside Media Studios in Malang City. Produced by Afreiza Sandy, this producing became one of the most sought-after trash hardcore producings that never was.
