Twinstar came about in 1997, when Los Angeles bands Revolux and Chihuahua broke apart and various members from both bands played a show at the South by Southwest and North by Northwest entertainment conferences. They holed up right after those shows to begin work on their debut CD, an eponymous album that featured several guest appearances from members of <a href="spotify:artist:3LrsctPHK5wMdvEqvFN8BW">the Mighty Lemon Drops</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:2pZCKLhbrrDD4PwEzrDig3">Remy Zero</a>.
