Two Canes

In the weeks leading up to Halloween weekend of 2022, siblings Chloe and Evan Weidl assembled a last-minute band consisting of their roommate (Edwin Svoboda), coworker (Jack Moore), and fellow student org member (Myles Evangelista) with the hope of performing a few covers for a local Halloween-themed open mic night. Little did they know, the ragtag group of musicians known as Two Canes would quickly become a staple in the Iowa City music scene following that brief but incendiary debut performance. Likening the sounds of IDLES, Rage Against the Machine, the Offspring, and Deftones, Two Canes dips into hard rock, post punk, and nu metal to ignite stages and audiences across Iowa.
