Tya Subiakto is an Indonesian composer, conductor, singer, and film score composer. She is quite well-known in the Indonesian entertainment industry, especially for her works in film music.
Her musical and cinematic taste has been largely influenced by her father, Subiakto Priosoedarsono, since she was little. She started studying music at the age of three. Her instrument of choice ever since she was a student at Sekolah Musik Yayasan Pendidikan Musik — one of the best music schools in Jakarta — is the classical piano. She has created multiple jingles since 1997, and has run her own orchestra called the T&T Orchestra since 1998.
Tya entered Indonesia's film industry in 2007. She has worked on many films to date. Her specific way of storytelling has been influenced by her best friend, Hanung Bramantyo, a movie director who has been working with her in many projects. Habibie & Ainun 3 was one of her film scores she has worked on, with the orchestration played by the Moscow Studio Symphony Orchestra. One of the awards she won was Best Music at the 2017 Asia Pacific Film Festival.
And now, Tya will present several singles after 28 years of work in the music industry, compose many songs as a legacy for next generation. One of her singles is Tak Mungkin (collaborate with her husband, Alex Kuple ) .
