Alec Rorisang Kobeng (born 18 October 2003) is a South African DJ and Record Producer, popularly known as Tycoon. He was born & raise in a township named Diepkloof in Soweto, Gauteng. Tycoon started his Djing career after his Matric Year , he started off as Hip-Hop DJ but only pushed for a few months till he was a Full-on Amapiano Artist. His production only got to be heard on his first big feature record “After Tears” with Sizwe Alakine, Dj Stokie & Boohle. He also got featured on Slade’s Debut EP on 2 Records titled “Late” with Sir Trill and “Sawubona” with Sir Trill & Raspy. In 2023 he released his first EP titled “Art of Love” which Introduced him in a very great way in the Amapiano Scene.
He worked with the likes of ReaDaSoul, Nanette, Jay Sax, etc. Later in the year, he got to work with MaWhoo & Nkosazana Daughter on collaborative singles with Slade titled “Ngizowela” & “Ndoni Ya Manzi”. In 2024 He released his first single under his own record label “Tyza Wav” releasing a very spiritual and soulful song with Sino Msolo titled “Hlala Nam”.
