From the deep piney woods of South East Texas, Tyler Dozier is impacting the live music scene in two states with his unique brand of traditional country music. With every beat of his newest release, 'Still in Houston,' you can feel the hardwood floor sliding beneath the soles of your boots at a favorite local dancehall.
His coy smile is a bit deceiving, as Tyler is a natural entertainer who is instantly loved by all within the sound of his microphone and guitar! Tyler began developing as a musician at age 7 when he sat down at the piano. His love of music bloomed as he performed at piano recitals and church services, but 5 short years later his talent and passion collided when he picked up the guitar. Honing his vocal and musical abilities was a labor of love that Tyler embraced and garnered the attention of locals. At only 16, he picked up his first gigs at weddings and small live music venues. The more he played, the more he desired to learn. Two years later he added bass and drums to his repertoire and later that year was invited to play at Angel Gardens music festival in Kountze, TX.
Tyler developed a loyal fan base that grew exponentially and at 19, he released his first single 'Doing Time in Texas' which broke into the Top 100 on the Texas Country Music chart. Today, live music venues in Texas and Louisiana are asking for Tyler Dozier by name.
