Tyler Levy is a jazz tenor saxophonist and bandleader from Atlanta, Georgia, whose sound bridges classic and modern traditions of hard bop and spiritual jazz. Rooted in the Great American Songbook yet shaped by the freedom and intensity of Sonny Rollins, Billy Harper, Pharoah Sanders, Gato Barbieri, and Joshua Redman, Tyler brings to every performance a bold, expressive voice informed by his work in environmental and human rights advocacy. Leading one of the South’s most dynamic jazz ensembles, he and his groups have earned praise for their depth, energy, and chemistry, performing at venues throughout the Southeast. Trained in jazz performance, Tyler collaborates with many of the region’s top musicians in trio and other jazz combo formats. His artistry reflects a deep commitment to truth, melody, and emotional expression—the essence of modern jazz.
