Tyler Sr and the Meadowlarks is a genre-bending indie rock project born in Atlanta, Georgia, and fueled by a rotating cast of musicians from across the U.S. Led by songwriter and frontman Tyler Sr, the band blends 60s and 70s pop sensibilities with modern indie energy—delivering catchy, melodic anthems that sparkle with heart, grit, and vulnerability.
What began as a deeply personal creative outlet has grown into a coast-to-coast collaboration, with bandmates contributing from seven different states. Their upcoming debut album, HOWL: Where Mountain Meets Cloud, features contributions from members of Matthew and the Arrogant Sea, Timbre, Pacifico, Starflyer 59, The Enigmatic Foe, Frank Lenz, and others—each adding unique textures and sonic layers to the mix.
The result is a sound that’s at once nostalgic and fresh—equal parts sun-soaked harmony and foot-stomping fervor, with sweet slow-burn moments that cut to the bone.
Label: FairVaux Records, Syracuse
Recommended if you like: Dr. Dog, The Shins, The Zombies, Fleet Foxes, The Flaming Lips, Oasis, Cage The Elephant
