As the #EastBayPrincess- Tyra Monique is a triple threat who continues to make a name for herself not only through acting, but through singing as-well. Born and raised in the East Bay Area, CA to parents who had her much later in their life-she often was surrounded by classic R&B soul. She often credits her influences growing up were Mariah Carey (vision of love era and after), Mary J Blige, Mint Condition, The Temptations, Toni Braxton, Sade, Lauryn Hill and many more. She started singing at age 3 and continued to develop her voice until she was ready to pursue music seriously. While attending Cal State East Bay she decided to take music more seriously due to Covid-19 putting a stand-still on the acting industry. She has released several music videos, an EP and is continuing to drop more music. Keep an eye out on this upcoming artist!
