A former student-athlete and graduate of Michigan State University, Tyriq Omar spent his down time crafting his sound and sharpening his pen, studying the likes of J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Busta Rhymes, Yasiin Bey, and Common to create a truly unique listening experience. He is currently based in Los Angeles.
