TyShawn Dion

TyShawn Dion is a multifaceted hip-hop artist and songwriter, originally from Worcester, MA, with roots tied to Sumter, SC, where his musically journey began at just 3 years old. Influenced by greats like Jay Z, Kanye West, J. Cole, and Biggie Smalls, Dion’s music blends classic rap sensibilities with modern, introspective lyricism.

Though he gained early momentum as a teenager signed to an indie label out of Arizona, TyShawn took a step back to pursue Division 1 football at the University of Connecticut; and In 2016, he returned to music—tackling it full force as the first ever student opener to grace UConn’s Spring Concert stage. Since then, he’s toured with Joyner Lucas and Symba, performed at two Joyner Fests, and opened for prominent acts like CyHi the Prince, PNB Rock, and Khalid. He also landed a collaboration with childhood idol Juelz Santana on the track “Light Work.”

In 2019, TyShawn released Gone for the Summer, which was well-received further cementing his place in the industry; while his latest singles, “Jordans” and “Do Not Disturbing,” continue to showcase his lyrical versatility. He also gained viral attention with an AI Drake record during the Kendrick Lamar beef.

Now in Miami and as an independent artist on the rise,TyShawn Dion is a force in the making. His high-energy, charismatic performances have quickly turned live audiences into fans, while his unique storytelling and raw lyricism, paint vivid pictures of the world through his experiences.
