UAP adds a new flavor to the Synthwave/Retrowave genre. UAP grew up in the 1980s and inhaled the sound of the era as well as subsequent developments in danceable but sophisticated pop music.
Primarily influenced by Australian band ICEHOUSE, especially their early work, UAP has established a unique sound of his own that combines Synthwave and Retrowave to great effect. His single "110 Dreams" was ranked among the ten best Synthwave tracks in February 2022's episode of "Synthwave Top 10" podcast and has become a favourite among synth aficionados. His single "City Be Your Monster" which he released in collaboration with US singer/songwriter Katie Tich went to #3 in "Synthwave Top Ten" in March 2023, additionally to that it got reviews around the world!
Also active in remixing, UAP has been honoured to deliver remixes for e.g. Color Theory and Breathes With Gills. In 2022 UAP and Katie Tich joined in further collaboration for their first duo single release "Talita" which was hailed as a "Synthwave masterpiece" by Gary J. Robinson of "The Death Beats" fame.
UAP's songs have gained reviews around the world and have been featured on NDR public radio and SAT1 TV in Germany. He is based in Germany and loves hardware Synths! You'll hear only few software instruments in UAP's music. Instead, he draws on an arsenal of hardware synthesizers with a particular and long lasting love for ENSONIQ instruments of which he's an avid collector.
