UFOCHASERZ formed in 2022. Lot of motivation and a loss of knowledge. It’s about dreaming, making a song, and being on stage. The first idea for "Chasing Away" came from a jam session with former guitarist Ben Fest, bassist Nico Böving, and singer/guitarist Timo Hirschfeld. Ben said, "...and now we need a real poppin’ phrase like: chasing away." After some changes, it really started in 2023 with a studio session for "Chasing Away" with drummer Hendrik Feller, guitarist Moritz Thaden, and guitarist Paul Foltin. Yeah, we have three guitars and a bass! We found our sound in a mix of indie rock, surf, sci-fi prog, and wave punk. The songs range from rocky sounds to dancy and poppy, to slower ballads. Our favorite bands are <a href="spotify:artist:3zmfs9cQwzJl575W1ZYXeT" data-name="Men I Trust">Men I Trust</a> , <a href="spotify:artist:6XYvaoDGE0VmRt83Jss9Sn" data-name="King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard">King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4kSGbjWGxTchKpIxXPJv0B" data-name="Crumb">Crumb</a> , and @<a href="spotify:artist:3oKRxpszQKUjjaHz388fVA" data-name="Parcels">Parcels</a> . Where the inspiration comes from: love for space, the universe, aliens, documentaries about all this, the wind, the sun, waves, the physics of our world. All that. "Chasing Away" is about being lost in space – being alone, awkward, anxious with people, disconnected from the world. It’s about getting out of negative situations, accepting, and restarting, all under the theme of the space. The bridge of "Chasing Away" includes a radio message from an Apollo mission – "Light this candle.“ Loved that! Such an impressive call in that situation! These Apollo guys are up there 400,000 km away from Earth. One chance to get out – light up the candle at the right moment to get back to Earth.
