Formed in late 2019 by three teenagers, Uganda’s Moonshine Epidemic’s sound is as crazy as the name. Taking influence from mainly punk, ska, reggae and hardcore
In summer 2020 they recorded their first single “Dog’s Life”. A sing along, feel good punk track about the luxuries of having the simple life of a dog. After this they continued on to record their first EP “Power”. Lead single “Dread” is a catchy powerful alternative song about the troubles of a toxic relationship.
In early 2022 they have recorded a new single “introvert” a fast catchy hardcore punk track about the difficulties of speaking to a girl whose life involves sitting in their house. In the same sessions they have recorded the EP “Lifey”.
Their latest release is EP “How To Be…” this is their first collaboration with Perth based Cosmic Records. This EP is just a taster of what is yet to come from their first full length album coming out in 2023. Listen Now.
Vocals & Drums - Ryley Egan
