With a freestyle flow and dancehall-influenced sound, Ugly Andz. is a rapper based in the U.K. He built a following on social media in the early 2020s with music and comedy sketches before garnering acclaim and hundreds of thousands of streams for his Tears for Fears-sampling single "Foreigner" in 2022. He had a chart breakthrough two years later with "Yo Bunny," which landed in the Top Five of Billboard's TikTok Top 50. The year 2024 also found him co-starring in the U.K. action-adventure series Supacell.

Originally from Kingston, Jamaica and based in London, Andy Thompson's easygoing, fast-talking presence won him a social media following numbering in the tens of thousands by his late teens in the early 2020s. His first significant bump in popularity came with the release of his song "Foreigner," a catchy, bass-heavy track that sampled Tears for Fears' "Everybody Wants to Rule the World." It appeared on streaming platforms in early 2022. Songs including "Magnum" and 2023's "Shelly Ann" (with Island Dre), and the playful holiday outing "Jingle" (with KrDaGreat and Brandan Duke) further established his skills.

In mid-2024, Ugly Andz. broke onto the streaming charts with "Yo Bunny," recorded in collaboration with prodbycpkshawn and released on Broke/Hallwood Media. Collecting tens of millions of streams within weeks, it hit number five on the Billboard TikTok Top 50 chart. Around the same time, in June that year, he made his TV debut (credited as Andy Thompson) on the Netflix series Supacell, playing Twosie. Created, written, and directed by Rapman (aka Andrew Onwubolu, MBE), the show followed working-class Black South Londoners who develop superpowers.
