Ugly Tony

Ugly Tony is a French hip-hop beat-maker born in the mid 1980′s. His introduction to the Hip-hop culture came at a time most consider the “Golden Era. Since the albums “Enter the 36 Chambers” and “Illmatic” were made, a key emphasis has been placed on production. These two albums inspired Ugly Tony into becoming a beat-maker. He studied endlessly into the craft of production. By understanding which sounds are harmonious compared to musical bedlam, he discovered his lane for production.

In the year of 2007, Ugly Tony decided to create an album, “At Nightfall,” which he would entirely produce. To find the artist for the album was the other task. However, social networks made this mission less overwhelming. The internet allowed Tony to interact and gather support from various MCs : Phil The Agony (Strong Arm Steady), Tame One (Artifacts), Pumpkinhead (Brooklyn Academy), The AbSoulJah, Termanology, Copywrite, King Magnetic, amongst many more. All the hard work will finally pay off and the arrival of 2023 brought Ugly Tony to the preparation of a release for his new album “Time Flies”.
