Symphonic songstress Kirra Watts, otherwise known as Uhkirra, is 26-year-old singer, songwriter & multi-instrumentalist based in Meanjin (Brisbane). Her first release ‘This Isn’t Enough Anymore’ showcased a blend between Neo-soul, bedroom pop & subtle cinematic expression. Released in 2020 her sophomore single ‘Show Up’ introduced further concepts to her sound, with extensive vocal layering & emotive instrumentation.
Since 2019, Kirra has also been catching the attention of keen live music fans across Brisbane and Gold Coast scenes. With no sound left unfilled, her unique approach in performance has led to collaborations & involvement with First Beige, Daste & Felivand.
Growing up as a violinist/violist, Kirra is heavily influenced by the symphonic atmosphere & utilises her passion for orchestral music merged with other contemporary & neo-classical genres. Her songwriting reflects an honest & raw quality, on the nature of feelings.
