Uinuos is a Finnish folk band, making dark and mysterious music in its native tongue, influenced by the Finnish mythology and soul scenery.
It started as a small project in 2016, by Ines Lukkanen (vocals) and Tero Kalliomäki (guitars) from Embassy of Silence. The idea was initially born back in 2009 when Tero and Ines collaborated on an acoustic song called ‘Synnistä syntynyt’ (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SW2FrA7rBos). The track was for the Saattue album ‘Vuoroveri’, and the name “Uinuos” was taken from its lyrics, meaning "An old-timey and poetic way of saying 'go to sleep'."
