Uirá dos Reis

Uirá dos Reis is an artist based in Fortaleza, Ceará (BR) and has 20 independently released albums. His first album is from 2001. Composed several soundtracks for independent cinema, theater and dance shows. Poet, screenwriter. He studies composition in electronic and electroacoustic music. FAGIA REMAINS (2022) was released by the Argentinian label Pakapi Records and is an instrumental of electronic music made by percussion samples of samba, funk-br and idm techno, where he leaves the more abstract music to focus on compositions that explore the roots of black music in these rhythms/styles, in a very personal way, playing with the timbres, modifying the sounds using many effects, layered percussions and placing them in a panoramic way in search of some organicity and strangeness/beauty. A work of months that is the result of two years of research. Furthermore, the album is the artist's first album under his own name; previous albums were signed as URO.

The album features Tuan Fernandes (Estúdio Pé Sujo) in the additional mix of the song 'Aracy de Almeida' and mastering by Klaus Sena (Estúdio Índigo Azul), in addition to the incredible cover made by the artist Diego Maia from a photo by photographer Samuel Santos.
