Uku Pacha is the alias of USA-based electronic music producer Samuel L. Herscher. Born in Ica, Peru and raised in Manhattan, NY. Sam’s passion for music was instilled after he listened to Creed’s Weathered Album for the first time. Songs like One Last Breathe and My Sacrifice truly inspired him to pick up the guitar and learn. That love for rock grew into a love of metal music - Sam gravitated to the energy and intensity of the genre - bands like Linkin Park, Northlane and Volumes to name a few. He played in bands throughout his high school years as he learned how to play the bass and dabble with vocals. His band Glyphs Of Siona headlined Webster Hall and he also did some small tours in the North East.
After differences of vision, motivation and drive, in the summer of 2018 Sam parted ways with the bands he was a part of to pursue electronic music full-time. Spending a foundation year learning and teaching himself, he released his first single “Selfish” under Supay’s brand. Continuing his journey of learning the technique of the electronic music he release a few other songs each from different styles of the electronic world. Currently Sam (Uku Pacha) is on a quest, a return to form, to what gave him success in his earlier years. Uku Pacha is trying to find a way to infuse his roots of his emotional, heavy hitting, melodic-Djent, progressive metal with his new found love of crispy world building grooves of Electronic/Techno vibes. Follow him on his journey on his identity.
