UKULAYERS was founded in 2014 by Peter Tröster (Tenor Ukulele,Composition), Maris Clemens (Vocal Baritone Ukulele), and Mascha Grudina (Concert Ukulele). Until the end of 2023, Ben Haug (Drums) and Julia Donat (Bass), who joined in 2017, were also part of the band.
The UKULAYERS Trio employs the ukuleles in a highly individual manner, resulting in a unique and highly variable sound. With great virtuosity, they combine gentle, bluesy, jazzy, and vacation-inspired tones and rhythms, creating harmonies full of atmosphere. Stylistically situated between folk and pop, the UKULAYERS Trio incorporates both ethereal and jazzy undertones into their music.
