From Birmingham U.K. are The Ukulele Theatre.
We began playing in 2012 .Influenced by many great bands such as #Beatles, ..Bowie,2-Tone,Jazz,RnB,Elvis, and much more. .. #ukuleletheatre were formed by Tony Beet whose former bands include Acoustic Theatre,The Blue Sonics, The International Beat,
Also Tony's Brother Alan Beet Percussion inc. melodica / recording engineer,
Paul Wells Lead Ukulele ,Tony Odonnell (also Percussion etc.) and Vocalist/backing vocals and other noises myself...Dennis Sutton.
We were later joined by Dave Prescott 'Bass'.
We put together our Beatles Sessions album and released it after a lengthy process getting kind permission from Sony ATV / Harrisongs.
Overwhelmed by the success of 'Here comes the sun' released on many media platforms.
We've since released other albums and singles / music videos that are also doing great.
We played at Festivals and The Cavern Liverpool at their Ukulele festivals and were overwhelmed to be asked by Olivia Harrison to play our version of 'Something' for George Harrison 75th birthday which was filmed for the Harrison' family. To be then added to the official Beatles Facebook page is truly an honour.
George loved the Ukulele.
He said everyone should have and play a uke, they are so much fun and can be taken anywhere..
Love and respect to all from #UkuleleTheatre xxx
