UManamathela

Afeletsi Manamathela or better known as UManamathela is one half of SAMA winning duo Soul Kulture. UManamathela was born in uMthatha in the Eastern Cape and grew up in Idutywa with his late Grandmother. He discovered the love of Music at an early age as he comes from a family of musical beings, growing in a household like this fueled the love of music as it was an everyday conversation at home. Being introduced to music at such an early age saw UManamathela being a very versatile musician.
He was influenced by Rap music in high school when he moved to Cape Town in 2010, this is when he started writing his own music as a rapper and started performing in and around Khayelitsha, his big break later came when he and Partner formed Soul Kulture in 2013 which later rose to fame in 2016, together they achieved a lot.
From sharing stages with South Africa's finest of performers to performing on the South African Music Awards stage and bagging an award each for both of their studio albums.
UManamathela has worked with a lot of artists to date, namely Soul Kulture, Mr Brown, Master KG, DJ Obza, Bongo Beats, Mapara A Jazz, Bravo Le Roux, CAMAGU, Flash Ikumkani, Nankoo just to name a few
