umu

umu is a singer-songwriter from South Korea. She made her debut in March 2022 with her first single, 'lost and found'. Since then, she has focused on embodying alternative rock and folk with a trendy sound, signaling her future direction with the release of her second single, 'THE PARTY SONG', in May 2023. With this single, which showcases her outstanding visuals and sensuous sound, she made it to the cover of Spotify's "Fresh Finds Korea" playlist and featured in outdoor advertisements, receiving a shoutout from the street culture magazine .

At the beginning of 2024, She released her third pre-release single, 'Cake', along with the title track 'Now', which presents an Eastern sentiment and enriched beats. Her first EP, , showed the potential of umu's musical spectrum. In June of the same year, she released a folk-based double single album, , which conveys autobiographical narratives through a mindful sound, attempting genuine encounters with new listeners.
