Uncle Tiki started in 1997 in Los Angeles CA. We ran around Hollywood with the Psycho Rockabilly scene: Luck of the Draw, Custom Made Scare, Los Creepers, Three Bad Jacks, There Day Monk, and many others. A few of our favorite clubs were: The Bar Deluxe, The Garage, The Gig, Spaceland, and The Coconut Teaser. We beat the hell out of things until around 2001 and then we called it quits. In 2016 we started jamming again and playing some local dive bar gigs. We wrote a Christmas song "The Potato Song", lyrics and song by drummer Michael Morrison, for Green Monkey Records "All I Want For Christmas: GMR Xmas VII" and it was re-released on a greatest hits "Christmas Boogie Woogie: 10 Years of Green Monkey Christmas". We also re-dialed a few of the old songs and added some new ones. "Light Em Up" is a wonderful collection of those songs.
