San Diego, CA's Underminded was formed in 1999 by Catholic school classmates <a href="spotify:artist:2BodGJUF2TlTKGmEwBtbKr">Nick Martin</a> (vocals) and Matt Johnson (guitar), who felt the influence of local bands like <a href="spotify:artist:5GOJQ1HSMGp1rEnOhBeH1h">Rocket from the Crypt</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:7FbdCzKUwoZs1v9bCl43Ev">Drive Like Jehu</a> during their formative years, leading up to 2004's debut album, Hail Unamerican!
