Ung Pike Forsvunnet, formed by Ole Hedemann and Anne Danielsen in 1982, grew out of Oslo’s new-wave rock environment. Armed with a number of Hedemann’s songs they quickly collected Beranek (keyboards/guitar), Sven Kalmar (drums), Øivind Nordal (bass) and Tellef Øgrim (guitar) to form the original version of the band.
Already the same year the group was out with its self-titled debut album. By the time of their second release, Uppercut, the band had turned in the direction of American influenced pop, rock and soul, while all songs were still in Norwegian.
In 2011 the band reappeared with both a horn and a backing vocal section, holding yearly reunion concert/parties and publishing two singles, Kraften i oss to and Skatten i Skrinet, both on Curling Legs records.
